You don't know what you got until you lose it…I'm sure all of you have stumbled upon this saying in one of its variations. As for me, I find myself once again realizing how true it is that you only really value something (and even someone) once you've lost it.
My camera is still broken and I'm all devastated about it. I have to say I did value it when it was still in working order, but now I keep thinking I should have valued it even more. You know, cleaned it more often, taken more photos while I still had the opportunity… I'm using my old camera for taking the pictures that I absolutely HAVE to take, but the quality is so disappointing it feels like I'm looking at everything through foggy dirty glasses.
On top of that, it needs 4 instead of 2 batteries and I can't find any rechargeable batteries here, so I have to buy normal ones and use them sparingly as they're quite expensive. *sigh* Ah well, at least I can still look back on all those photos I took with the now broken camera and wallow in self-pity…
On a different note, it's raining cats and dogs here and half of the country is flooded. Doesn't really do anything to lift my spirits… But it at least means it cools down enough for us to switch the fan off now and then. Hurray, saving electricity! *lol* In Germany, winter will soon knock on everyone's door. It's been more than two years now that I experienced my last winter but I still vividly remember the cold and icy and snow and wind and slush. Gosh, am I happy to have left that behind!
What about you, my friends? What's your favourite season of the year, what's your favourite weather? Are you a snowman or a sunflower?
Do post your answers here, I wanna know.
On a farewell note for now, I'm once again saying how
very sorry I am for not checking in on your photos more often, for commenting in a hurry and taking a long time to respond to messages. I miss ya all a lot and wish it would be otherwise.
